Puppy Keeps barking in the kennel!?

I got my 7 week lab puppy last Saturday and im trying to kennel train him but all he does i bark and cry! i've put treats in the kennel . I've put his toys in the kennel. I've put a towel with his moms scent in the kennel. I've even put a clock that ticks on top of the kennel and i've put the tv on so he wont feel so alone! During the day ill put him in his kennel so just incase i have to leave one day he will be used to it..but he just barks like crazy! and ignore it all the time but it happens everyday! but at night he' fine with going in the kennel! he's doesnt bark at night! why could this be? and how can i stop the barking during the day?
