How to choose a playful puppy from the litter?

I think the puppy will be just as playful at home. It seems that the puppy is comfortable at the kennels, there for it acts normal. If it were not comfortable it would deffinately not be as outgoing. So I think if the puppy seems to be comfortable with you, then it should be fine. This puppy sounds like a great pick for the type of dog you want. If it seems to like you and acts that way when its comfortable, then when it gets to your home it should be pretty comfortable, just for the fact of you being there, although it may take a day or to for it to get use to a different atmosphere.
